From Studio Ghibli's Nausicaa Valley of the Wind

INSECT
This project was a collaboration with 2 hair and makeup students which realises an insect character from the Studio Ghibli film Nausicaa. Inspired by the movie’s environmental themes and beautiful landscapes, I explored the implictions of living in the Toxic Jungle. This design questions the slow impact that living in chemically polluted environment for thousands of years would have on our wildlife. The insects, crawling around in the depths of the jungle, are slowly moulding and decaying, from the inside out.
